A welcome letter from Mrs. Sedlacko...
St. Michael School has computer/tech/STEM classes beginning in kindergarten. Students are introduced to a variety of projects which incorporate various programs and technology, from iPads to controlling simple robots, to designing and coding original creations in robotics classes. Each succeeding year builds upon the previous year’s
work. Computer coding is introduced in the primary grades, preparing students to successfully program robots of their own design by grade 7. The projects in all classes are hands on, resulting in greater student engagement and better retention of concepts.Basic trouble-shooting of common error messages and conditions are incorporated into daily instruction. Additionally, all grades are required to learn and practice Internet safety and proper cyber-behavior. |
